Kybella Chin & Neck Lift
The FDA has approved Kybella® injections as a non-surgical treatment option to reduce small fat deposits under the chin. Kybella® contains deoxycholic acid, which is found naturally in the body. Kybella® destroys fat cells when injected into areas of excess fat under the chin and upper neck. When fat cells are removed, they will not likely reappear. Most patients need at least two treatments to achieve the best results, and the results can be permanent. Kybella® treatments typically take an hour. The recovery time is usually minimal; most people can resume normal daily routines within 24 to 48 hours.

Pre-Injection
Post-consultation, after you and Sherisse have determined the suitability of Kybella® injectables for your beauty goals. The targeted chin and neck areas will be numbed using a topical anesthetic or ice pack. While you are numbing, Sherisse takes the time to prep for the Kybella® treatment and educate you on the injection process, ensuring you are well-informed every step of the way. Your cosmetic journey to radiance is a collaborative effort, marked by thorough consultation and expert care.
Kybella Injection
During the fat dissolving injection, Sherisse skillfully administers Kybella® under the skin, ensuring minimal sensation, often described as a gentle pinch. Our dermal filler treatment sessions typically take about an hour.
Post-Injection
Following the Kybella® injections, you may experience mild discomfort, redness, and moderate swelling at the injection site. Any swelling is usually minor, allowing you to comfortably resume your normal social activities. Some individuals may experience mild bruising or localized side effects. Kybella® can cause serious side effects, including trouble swallowing and nerve injury in the jaw that can cause an uneven smile or facial muscle weakness. These are not all of the possible side effects of Kybella®. However, for the first 24 hours, we recommend refraining from workouts, applying makeup, receiving massages, taking NSAIDs, or consuming alcohol.

What is Kybella®?
Kybella® (deoxycholic acid) injection is the first and only FDA-approved injectable treatment that is used in adults to improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe fat below the chin (submental fat), also called, “double chin.” It is not known if Kybella® is safe and effective in children less than 18 years of age. It is not known if Kybella® is safe and effective for use outside of the double-chin area.
How does Kybella® treatment work?
The active ingredient in Kybella® is deoxycholic acid, a naturally-occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath your chin, Kybella® causes the destruction of fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat.
Is Kybella® Treatment right for me?
Only you and your doctor can decide if Kybella® is right for you. If you’re bothered by submental fullness, or double chin, unwanted pockets of fat in the arms, upper back, love handles and stomach ask your provider if these areas are appropriate to treat.
Can I combine Kybella® with other treatments?
Yes, during your consultation, we’ll review your aesthetic goals and design a personalized treatment plan to help you achieve the most natural-looking results. Kybella® can be safely combined with other cosmetic treatments such as Botox®, facial harmonization, and body contouring procedures for enhanced results.
How many double chin treatments will I need?
Many patients experience visible results in 2 to 4 treatment sessions. During these sessions, your provider will administer Kybella® into the fat under your chin using multiple injections. Up to 6 treatment sessions may be administered spaced no less than one month apart.
How long will the Kybella® chin and neck lift last?
Kybella® double chin injections cause the destruction of fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat. After the aesthetic response is achieved, retreatment with Kybella® is not expected.
