The active ingredient in these injectables is a neurotoxin known as botulinum toxin type A, which interferes with nerve and muscle signals to prevent muscles from contracting.

What are the Differences Between Facial Injections?

Our cosmetic injectables differ in their formulas, longevity, and how quickly results appear. 

For example, Botox® is the most well-known, offering reliable results that last about 3–4 months. Xeomin® is commonly used on those who have a longer history of facial injections. 

Our recommendations for which cosmetic facial injections will depend on the parts of your face you want treated. Dysport® is effective for larger areas like the forehead, with results lasting up to 4 months. Letybo is typically used for smoothing fine lines and wrinkles.

Botox®

Botox® was the first neuromodulator to be FDA-approved for cosmetic use, and it is the best-known product of its kind. Its well-established safety profile and broad range of aesthetic and therapeutic applications make it a popular choice among patients and practitioners alike.

Botox® treatments typically deliver results within three to five days, with optimal effects visible in about two weeks. On average, Botox® results last three to four months. 

Daxxify®

Daxxify® is the longest-lasting neurotoxin. It boasts the purest formulation of any neurotoxin, as it does not contain any human or animal byproducts or complexing proteins. Daxxify® is also notable for its peptide-powered formula, which contributes to its enhanced longevity.

Patients can anticipate initial results in as little as one to two days and results that can last around four months.

Dysport®

Dysport’s formulation tends to disperse more quickly than some other neuromodulators, so some patients find it provides faster results than Xeomin® or Botox®. It is particularly effective for treating larger areas, such as the forehead, due to its ability to diffuse more evenly across a broader treatment zone. 

Results from Dysport® for wrinkles typically appear within two to three days and can last for up to four months.

Xeomin®

Xeomin® is free of accessory proteins, making its formulation purer than that of Botox® and Dysport®. The lack of complexing proteins reduces the likelihood of developing resistance, making Xeomin® an attractive option for patients who have used neuromodulators extensively in the past.

Patients usually begin to see results from Xeomin® injections within three to four days, with effects lasting around three to four months.

Letybo
